The rollout for "Daydreaming again" continues as Shann released a lyric video to help further expand on the buzz that the song has received so far. 2024 promises to be the year that Shann fully embraces her stardom, and her fans can expect much more content going forward.
“I drew inspiration from the purity that comes with daydreaming. I wanted it to sound like what having a crush feels like. When you’ve established feelings for someone, there’s always this child-like feeling inside of you that makes you think about the endless possibilities with your lover. I also want to make everyone dance this year. The music we’ve been making is exciting but also allows you to feel as if I’m telling your story. Daydreaming Again is a fun reminder to embrace the magic of love and cherish those moments we long for,” Shann shares as she explains what inspired the creation of "Daydreaming again" and what she hopes her fans will experience when they listen to the song.
The song is produced by her best friend, Sunsensei. When listening to the production of the song, it’s easy to see the chemistry between the two. “Sensei is one of my best friends, so our chemistry has never been in question. We’ve been putting together the new direction of my sound for a few years, so I’m grateful to have a talented musician such as him I can trust by my side. He knows what works for me even while miles away. One day in the summer, he sent me the beat for Daydreaming Again, and I immediately fell in love. Over time I played with the melody during car rides to work, wrote some lyrics down, and brought it to Atlanta to refine with him. We cut the very first demo, and the rest is history,” she adds when speaking about how the production of "Daydreaming again" came to be.

Shann goes on to further explain. “Daydreaming is something that constantly happens, which is why I reference in the title it happening 'Again.' Just like a cycle of events that are constantly in rotation. The wave of emotions that spiral through you thinking about someone puts you in this revolving state. I wanted to ensure when the hook came in it was something that would be talked about and stuck no repeat in your head.”

The way social media is consumed now, you see many topics regarding relationships, and it can be toxic. That’s not cool to me. I choose to operate in love, which is why I only surround myself with people who are on the same wavelength. Everyone deserves kindness. That’s why I want to make it cool again to be a real lover. A real lover is not afraid to express themselves; And it doesn’t have to be romance but in your daily interactions with people you know and strangers alike.”
