Kendra Jae will be BIG

She came from working alongside stars like Beyonce and Drake to pursuing her career in music and is already THAT GIRL.

Kendra Jae, born in Sacramento, has had her fair share of the limelight in the music industry already. However, she wanted to carve a lane for herself where she is the star of the show. Having started out as a dancer, Kendra knows a lot about work ethic and coins herself for being “very hands on” when it comes to her craft. She has always been passionate about music, but never really showcased it as much as her other skills. She only allowed her close friends to know about it her recording sessions and song ideas. When the pandemic rolled around, Kendra made a choice to focus on her music career after not being able to dance due to quarantine. Overall, it was just the perfect time for her to release her music. Kendra was really placed in the public eye more when she gained 2 million views on her song “Seesaw” with her long time friend, Saweetie.

Kendra started really stepping into herself and her power in the past 2-3 years. Reading books, meditating, and just keeping herself peaceful has helped her to really understand what her power looks like instead of trying to compare with what someone else’s talents are. Learning to be yourself and truly be okay with who you are as a person is something that’s important to her and something that she would like the world to be aware of. Priding herself on being “Wifey” she sets herself apart by knowing that she wasn’t meant to be a City Girl, but instead loves that she’s charismatic, confident, and in her bag!

I didn’t want to transition into music until I knew exactly who I was.

Having just released her single “Big,” in preparation for her debut EP coming out in 2022, Kendra is killing the game with her lyricism and dope visuals. The song “Big” was inspired by her simply wanting to show everyone that her talents could not be boxed in. Her music video displays graphics of cowboy outfits, inspired by the movie “Concrete Cowboy.”

Nipsey Hussle once said, “It’s not on you, it’s in you” and this is a motto that Kendra swears by. She already knew that she was destined to be the star that she is and that’s all it takes for anyone that wants to be anything in this life. All it takes for someone to be successful is for them to believe in themselves, know themselves, and keep going. Kendra encourages everyone to learn about what their power is and own it.

Know your talent, understand what your niche is, and master your lane and then continue to learn more and more about it.
