Chris Cart3r Drops Visuals For EP Stand Out “Missed Calls”

Kansa City-based artist, Chris Carter, ended off 2020 with as much momentum as possible. After releasing the RTG EP (Return To Greatness) in mid-November, Chris stayed busy working behind the scenes. In the last week of December, he let us know some of what he was up to, and dropped the visuals to a fan-favorite off the RTG EP, “Missed Calls”.

“Missed Calls” is an ode to the experiences that Chris has felt since growing up in Louisville, Kentucky. The murder of Breonna Taylor hit him hard, and instead of ignoring the pain, Chris Carter chose to embrace it, opting to pen the deeply emotional and highly vulnerable “Missed Calls” – for the people he’s lost, the struggles he’s felt, and his promise to overcome it all.

“’Missed Calls’ came to me during a period of reflection of today's realities while reminiscing on my hometown of Louisville, KY. We may all have different stories, but the struggle is universal, if I can impact one person a day with my music and let them know they can fight through whatever they are going through then I'm doing my job right no matter what genre of music I'm making.” – Chris Carter

Chris Carter is an undeniably talented artist, and now, more than ever, he knows it’s his time to embrace his truth and share with the world what he knows he has the ability to do. RTG is more than the struggle, it’s a manifestation of what’s to come.

Check out the “Missed Calls” video above and check out the rest of the RTG EP below. Be sure to show Chris Carter some love and let him know how excited you are for 2021.
