Chris Carter chats with Alexis Rabadam at Finessed Media, Inc. on his experience as an upcoming artist.

His main advice to aspiring artists:
1. Do not get lost in the numbers.
2. Put your music out there / just release it!
3. Save your money and spend it wisely. Build a budget for your music.

Chris Carter is an underground hip hop artist based in Kansas City, Missouri. Inspired by 90s hip hop legends and his uncle who once distributed his own raps, Carter began his career when a friend encouraged him to take his music seriously in 2019. He discusses how being boo'd off the air, when given the chance to rap live on his city's radio station, gave him the motivation to become a better rapper. Carter is a self-starter whose music has been streamed more than 8000 times on Spotify which he attributes to a determination to learn more about the music industry and execution. His music is available on all major music platforms and his next release, "Choosy," will come out this summer featuring artist “Lorenzo.”
