AUGUST 08’s second installment of album ‘seasick’ is OUT nOW
Def Jam Recordings rising artist, August 08, sat down with 1824 to announce the release of Towards The Moon, the second installment of his album Seasick. Stoked to speak about his latest project, August 08 sat comfortably in his 1960s chair that he prides himself on, ready to tell all.
With the Towards The Moon EP completing the album Seasick, August 08 reveals the reason for splitting the album into 2 parts: to last longer and to have more impact. This time around he lead with emotion when it came to the creation of the EP, allowing himself to feel freely and write authentically.
Seasick holds your hand through the phases of heartbreak in Towards The Sun (first EP of the album) then ends the project with Towards The Moon (second EP of the album), remembering that at the end of the day all you have is yourself and that’s okay. So have those tissues ready before your ears get blessed.
For years, he wrote for other artists (casually name-drops Justin Bieber at one point of the press conference) and now he’s proudly taking the stage as the main act. For any first time listeners, the entire Seasick album is the perfect first impression of August 08.
